Attractive High Yield CDs for 3, 6, and 9 Months have Vanished

http://thedaysoflore.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/01/van-halen1.jpgWhere have all the good CD rates gone? They have vanished.  These days you should be searching for local deals because the best national offer is lame at best.  You can try Ally Bank but to really get a decent CD rate, you'd have to travel back in time to the 1980's, because, where have all the good times gone?

FYI America, feel at ease with your Certificates of Deposits since they are now FDIC insured to at least $250,000, not just up to $100K. But that doesn't buy you much when the best deal you can score comes from Ally Bank with a 3 Month CD of just 1.10% APY.
