NutriSystem signs Wal-Mart Deal

It's a big day for NutriSystem Inc. (Public, NASDAQ:NTRI) shareholders, as shares are up nearly 25% in after hours trading.

This comes after an announcement that they have inked a deal with Wal-Mart, the worlds largest retailer, to distribute their 14 Day Starter Program.

Hitting shelves at the brink of the holiday rush and leading into the height of the 2010 New Year's resolution season, the Nutrisystem 14-Day Starter Program will start rolling out nationwide at over 3,200 Walmart locations the first week of October, and will be available on Walmart.com.

Fellow Masters, those of you whose significant others have put on a few extra pounds in recent years, here's the perfect stocking stuffer. That will go over real well.

It should be interesting to see how high the stock goes tomorrow.
