Who Needs Real-Time Quotes Anyway? (NYSE:NYX),(NYSE:AA),(NYSE:H)

NYSE Euronext (NYSE:NYX)  is having issues today with delays in quotes on symbols A through HZZ.  So forget checking your stocks that trade on the NYSE. Why would you care unless you're like 90% of traders/investors that refresh their Google/Yahoo Finance portfolios every 2 minutes?  Sorry Aloca (NYSE:AA) though Hyatt Hotels (NYSE:H), maybe tomorrow your prices will be up-to-date.
Actually, we're sure the problem will be fixed by the time we post this article.

How about that, before I could hit publish, it's fixed -- NEW YORK (Reuters) - NYSE Euronext (NYX.N), which runs the New York Stock Exchange, said on Thursday it had resolved stock quote delays that affected the NYSE and the NYSE Amex cash markets earlier in the session.

"That issue has been resolved. The initial problem was sending out quotes that were stale," said Ray Pellecchia, NYSE Euronext spokesman.

He added that trading had been unaffected and the cause of delays were under investigation. The delays had affected quotes in the range A through HZZ, according to a brief status alert issued by the NYSE earlier on Thursday.
