Shopping for High Yield Savings Accounts with ING DIRECT at 1.5% APY
Posted May 5th, 2009 by Steve Reeves
High Yield CD offers this week are terrible, but what did catch the Masters attention was this high yield savings account offer from ING DIRECT at 1.5% APY with a no minimum balance. The usual FDIC backing is offered on the accounts up to $250K.

Unless you have $100K, Forget about MetLife's latest CD Offerings
Posted April 25th, 2009 by Steve Reeves
If you have $100K, then you could qualify for MetLife's 3 Month CD at 1.8% APY, or 6 Months at 1.9% APY. But if you only have $2,000 (and not a penny less) you can get MetLife's 3 Month CD at .15% APY, 6 months at .25% APY. Wow, you can just feel the new money coming in.

Citibank's 12 Month 2.2% APY High Yield CD Offer
Posted April 22nd, 2009 by theStockMasters...
Today Citibank is out with a 2.2% APY Certificate of Deposit, the only option is a 12 month deal with a minimum of $500 in the account. It's not great, but its not half bad considering its from Citigroup (NYSE:C) and since U.S. Taxpayers own the company, you know they'll make good on the CD (but then again the FDIC loves giving over more money).

Posted April 18th, 2009 by Frank Lara Jr

High Yield CD offers have been very weak lately, but there are two decent High Yield Savings Account deals that may be of interest fellow Masters. This week GMAC offers a savings account deal with a 2.25% APY with as little as $0 to $500 but Addison Avenue steps it up with a 4.04% APY and a 1.01% APY Dividend Checking Account paid out monthly if you can pony up $25K for an account.

Talk About Lame CD Rates, Hello Fidelity (3 Month, 6 Month)
Posted April 10th, 2009 by theStockMasters...
Looking to do nothing with your money yet give it to someone else to do God knows what with? The Masters got the answer, how about the stellar new CD offerings from Fidelity, lock your money away for only 3 Months and score a .25% return, better yet 6 Months for a .51%, or sleep for a year and get a 1% return. We'd rather listen to Michael Bolton for year than give our money to Fidelity.
